XI. EXPEDITION TO LOCKWOOD ISLAND.
On the 29th of February,Bastian Schweinsteiger Koszulka, Lieutenant Lockwood went upon an experimental trip to Thank God Harbor preparatory to his proposed grand expedition along the coast of Northern Greenland. His companions were Brainard, Jewell, Long, and the Esquimaux, Frederick and Jans,St. Louis Blues Paidat, with two dog-teams. As the dogs, constantly yelping and howling,Angel di Maria Fotbalové Dres, competed for the mastery,Zdeno Chara Pelipaita, they traveled rapidly, and,Los Angeles Kings Dresy, after many twistings and turnings,Neymar Jr Koszulka, reached their destination, where they found the observatory still standing. They took a necessary inventory, and, after a survey of the dismal plain,Erik Karlsson Tröjor, visited the grave of C. F. Hall, where Lieutenant Lockwood recorded the following touching notice in his journal: “The head-board erected by his comrades, as also the metallic one left by the English, still stands.
